FarmCheck® Program
Delivering on our mission to raise the world’s expectations for how much good food can do.
Partnering for Good
In 2012 we launched the FarmCheck program — a unique partnership between Tyson Foods and more than 9,000 independent farmers and ranchers across the U.S. that ensures all cattle are raised humanely. Third-party auditors check for proper animal conditions, human-animal interaction and worker training.
Four Guiding Principles for Animal Welfare
Perform Random and Independent Site Checks
Statistically valid sampling methods facilitate random site selection by Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization (PAACO) trained third-party auditors.
Align With an External Advisory Panel
Conduct Through Research and innovation
Tyson’s Office of Animal Welfare reviews existing research while supporting additional research to instill animal welfare approved methods.
